Ans:- Counting upto twelve and keeping still help us achieve, the peace of mind we will understand ourselves and will be able to think new thought.
(2.) Do you think the poet advocate total inactivity and death?
Ans:- The poet does not advocate total inactivity and death. The lines of the poem clears it:
What I want should not be confused
with total inactivity
Life is what it is about
I want no truck with death.
(3.) What is the 'sadness' that the poet refers to in the poem?
Ans:- The poet is sad because he does not try to never understanding ourselves. This is the sadness that the poet has refered to in the poem.
(4.) What symbol from nature does the poet invoke to say that there can be life under apparent stillness?
Ans:- Yes, it is truth there can be life under apparent stillness. The cold sea is symbol of it , whales live in the sea, fishes , frog, and tortoise....etc grow in the still sea.
