Palamu - Food license / registration camp was organized in the office premises of Hussainabad Sub-Divisional Officer on 02 March 2021 today on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Shashi Ranjan. In this camp, Food Safety Officer Mr. Manoj Kumar along with Hussainabad Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Kamleshwar Narayan instructed all food traders to conduct food business with license / registration.
During the camp, Hussainabad Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Kamleshwar Narayan said that there is a provision of punishment and fine under the FSSAI Act 2006 for conducting food business without food license or registration. All vegetable vendors were advised not to use any color in the vegetable. If they are found selling vegetables using color, action will be taken against them under section 59, which will carry a punishment of up to 6 months and a fine of up to one lakh.
Apart from this, through the camp, hotel restaurant owners were informed that they should take care of cleanliness, purity and hygiene in the kitchen of their establishment. The same sweets shopkeepers were advised not to add any harmful substance to the sweets, if during inspection the test report of the food sample is found to be substandard, then a fine of up to Rs 5 lakh will be imposed under Section 51.
Food Safety Officer Shri Manoj Kumar said that sale of banned pan masala is prohibited. Selling any kind of pan masala, gutkha, cigarettes within a radius of 100 yards is prohibited in schools, colleges or government institutions. Action will be taken under the Kotpa Act 2003 if they are found selling banned pan masala.
Today, a total of 30 applications were received in the camp held on 02 March 2021, of which 6 applications were executed on the spot.
