1. Why is Rajkumar Shukla described as being resolute?
Ans:-Rajkumar Shukla is being described as resolute. It is because of that he went to take Gandhi ji in his district and he did not return without him. Although Gandhi had no time and he had never heard about the place Champaran. Even after that Rajkumar Shukla impressed him with his story and tenacity.
2. Why do you think the servants thought Gandhi to be another peasant?
Ans:-The servants thought Gandhi to be another peasant because Gandhi had went with Rajkumar Shukla. The servants knew Rajkumar Shukla very well because he always came to meet Rajendra Prasad and pester him to help the Indigo sharecroppers. But they did not know about Gandhi. Rajkumar Shukla and Gandhi went together. So, the servant thought Gandhi to be another pesant.
3 why did Gandhi agree to a settlement of 25 percent return to the farmer?
Ans:- Gandhi agreed to a settlement of 25 % refund to the farmers because the money of refund was less important than prestige and honour. At first Gandhi demanded for 50 percent but the settlement was deadlock at 25%. The money of refund was only and excution to chased him away.
4. How did the episode change the plight of the peasant?
Ans:- The episode changed the plight of the the peasant completely. Through this episode the present saw that they had their rights and defenders. They learned courage. Through this episode Gandhi taught the lesson of self-reliance. Now the British could challenged by Indian.

Ans:- Gandhi considered the Champaran episode to be a turning point in his life. It was because of that it was the first mass movement in modern india which get success. Through this episode Gandhi was able to teach the lesson of self Reliance. The sharecroppers of Champaran saw that they had right and defenderence. They learnd courage Gandhi was able to mould the Indian and make a new India. The Champaran episode brought out civil disobedience movement. Through this movement Gandhi wanted to say that the British could be challenged in India by the poor peasants.
6. How was Gandhi able to influence the lawyer?
Ans:- Gandhi influence the lawyer greatly. Gandhi was ready to go in jail for the sake of poor peasant. Gandhi asked the lawyers what they do if he was sentence to prison. Gandhi asked it boldly to the lawyers. They replied that they would go home, Gandhi asked what would be the injustice of sharecroppers. The lawyers withdraw their consult and thought it would be a shameful desertion. Now the lawyers where ready to go in jail with Gandhi. This Gandhi influenced the lawyers.
7. What was the attitude of the average Indian is smaller localities towards advocates of home rule?
Ans:- The attitude of the average Indian in a smaller localities towards advocate of home rule was negative because the sharecroppers were afraid of showing their sympathic towards advocates of home rule.
